What medium are your original earrings?

My earring art boards are custom wood and are painted with acrylic paint/pen.

What finishing do you use on the surface of the earrings?

The back of the earrings are painted in black acrylic. The front is finished with 2-3 coats of art varnish.

Why are your earrings unique?

Each pair of earring is produced from an artwork I have created. Each artwork is used to create approximately 20 pairs of earrings and due to the random nature of the artworks the earrings sets are always different.

I design the shapes to be unique configurations and I rarely use the same shape twice on one artwork.
There is one exclusion, I usually create 2 pairs of New Zealand / Aotearoa earring sets.

As each pair is unique if an earring is lost, I am unable to replace with another earring to complete the pair.

Now and then I do have a single earring available for those with single piercings. Email me to ask about availability.

What kind of earring findings do you use?

The earring hooks are stamped with a 925 mark.  A sterling silver mark is a quality stamp, most commonly “925” or “Sterling,” that indicates the item is 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% other metals.

The circle loop used to connect the hook to the earring is stainless steel, sometimes silver plated if available.

How do I care for my earrings?

As my earring designs are all custom painted artworks they are not designed for use while swimming or showering.

If the need to be cleaned use a soft damp cloth and dry the earring well. 

925 silver may tarnish when exposed to sulfur-containing gases, moisture, and chemicals, such as those found in hairspray, lotions, perfumes, and cleaning products. Other causes include humidity, sunlight, sweat, and improper storage. 

If your silver findings tarnish, buff with a silver cloth.
